Mst. Tanayjit Chakraborty (IVC) , S/O Mrs. Archana Chakraborty & Mr. Abhijit Chakraborty received 1st prize in the 3rd Bongaigaon District Inter School Chess Tournament , 2026 organized by Bongaigaon District Chess Association under Pawn Category(I-IV) on July 05,2026. We are indeed proud of him !

In the 3rd Bongaigaon Inter School Chess Tournament 2026 organised by Bongaigaon District Chess Association on 5th of July at PM Shri H.S. School, Bongaigaon,Miss Queen Das(VII) secured 2nd position in the final ranking. Congratulations to her !
TOWARDS A HEALTHIER TOMORROW
On July 20, 2026, the school organized a health awareness programme for its staff members in association with Swagat Hospital & Research Centre, Bongaigaon. Along with health check-up ,Dr.Atanu Basumatary interacted with staff members regarding healthy living through simple life style. In the CBSE Far East Zone Athletics Meet 2026-27 , hosted by Royal Global School & held at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati from July 21-23 ,2026, the following athletes made their mark in the Meet and recipients of Gold & Silver medals got selected for Nationals.
• Ashinoor Ahmed-XII (U-19)- 1st in Javelin Throw-Gold Medal
• Debaniv S.Ray-X (U-17)- 1st High Jump- Gold Medal
• Rihu Sharma -XI (U-19)-2nd in Triple Jump –Silver Medal
• Madhurjya Choudhury-X (U-17) – 200 mtr race & 100 mtr race) -2nd in both events- 2 Silver Medals
• Alisha wary-IX(U-17) –Shot Put – 2nd –Silver Medal

On June 05, 2026, the school observed the World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a deep commitment to environmental conservation. The celebration featured a plantation drive with a variety of engaging activities including competitions. Such programmes encouraged students to express their creativity while spreading awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving environment.

In the 33rd All Assam Aquatic Championship for her outstanding performance in Group-III category, Miss Hiyasvi Kashyap(VII) won 2 nos. of Gold Medals & 2 nos. of Silver Medals and she has been selected for Sub-Junior National Swimming Competition organized by Swimming Federation of India which will be held in Jaipur-Rajasthan from August 06-09, 2026. SCHOOL’S FLOOD RELIEF DRIVE IN ASSOCIATION WITH IOCL BONGAIGAON REFINERY
In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity ,the students, parents & staff members of the school joined hands to support flood affected families in the state. Essential relief materials, including food items, drinking water, groceries, clothing and other daily necessities were generously contributed and handed over in association with IOCL BGR. We sincerely thank everyone in coming together for such a overwhelming response towards this noble initiative. ONSITE SEMINAR : PHYSICS
BY THE DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL SOCIETY ,HRD CENTRE,NOIDA

The DPSS (HRDC) organized a Residential Programme for Physics teachers (Classes-IX-X) from July 2-4 2026. The programme was conducted by Mr. Shirish Pathare and Mr.Pritesh Ranadive, Scientific Officers from HBCSE-TIFR Mumbai. It focused on strengthening conceptual understanding and promoting activity based teaching of Physics. Mr.Mithun Das, PGT Physics attended the said seminar. The sessions covered Astronomy and Optics ,emphasizing scientific inquiry and practical applications along with Understanding through experiments , encouraging hands-on learning using simple classroom activities. The programme concluded with a yoga session, promoting physical well-being , mental relaxation and holistic professional development for teachers.
ADDESSING MATTERS THAT MATTER
The school had an interactive session with parents of classes-III to IX in regard to implementation of third language , Advanced Science & Advanced Mathematics , Computational Thinking & Artificial Intelligence, the school’s special provisions against bullying of any kind along with fixing the of bag load of students of all levels . The said sessions were held at school on July 29, 30 & 31 respectively. The class teachers had a heart to heart talk with parents and parents came up with some fruitful suggestions. All in all, the discussions were insightful and productive

ATHLETIC BRILLIANCE

Mst. Madhurjya Choudhury (X) secured 2nd position and received a silver medal , making his mark in the 60 m running race in the 47th Assam State Level Inter District Athletics Championship held from July 24-26 ,2026 at Nalbari. He will represent state in the Nationals. Well done, Madhurjya !


Ms. Nabojita Sarma (XII) secured 1st positions , winning 2 gold medals( Kata & Kumite) in the 5th Bajali District Karate Champioship 2026 held on July 19, 2026 at Adarsha High School , Dharamtala,Bajali, Assam. It is hosted by Bajali Karate-Do Academy, affiliated to All Assam Karate Association & recognized by Assam Olympic Association. Many congratulations !
