UDAAN – THE ANNUAL DAY EXTRAVAGANZA :
A CELEBRATION OF YOUTHFUL SPIRIT
The school celebrated its Annual Day on Dec.12,2025 with great joy and striking aura. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri N.K. Barua, Executive Director & Refinery Head, IOCL BGR & Pro-Vice Chairman , SMC. The programme began with a floral tribute to two iconic cultural legends – Dr. Bhupen Hazarika & Zubeen Garg followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Students showcased their talent through unique cultural performances which were appreciated by the audience. In his speech, the Principal, Dr. R.K. Mishra highlighted the school’s achievements in various spheres throughout the year. Awards were presented to students for their outstanding feats. A token of reverence was presented to some dignitaries of our parent organization, IOCL Bongagaon Refinery for their unwavering support and co-operation. The programme ended with a dinner for all the esteemed invitees & school staff.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY: URJA-2025
The school celebrated its two-day Annual Sports Meet with great zeal and vigour on Dec. 22 & 23,2025. The event began with march past of NCC and Scouts & Guides troops of the school. With the lighting of the ceremonial torch by some star athletes, the chief Guest of the event, Shri N. K. Barua, Executive Director & Refinery Head, IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery & Pro-Vice Chairman ,SMC declared the Meet open. Students participated in various field & track events, showcasing teamwork and sportsmanship. Esteemed dignitaries, parents & staff members also took part in various events. Jhelum House emerged as the Champion House and has steadily been wearing the crown of glory since last 4 years. Ganga House finished as the first runners up followed by Yamuna as the second runners up . Altogether, the Meet ended on a joyful and spirited note.
NATIONAL CADET CORPS : CATC(Combined Annual Training Camp)
It was held from Dec. 01 to 10,2025 at Golakganj, Dhubri which was attended by 4 Junior Wing cadets, I Junior Division cadet & Mr. Judhisthir Das as the caretaker officer. Students learnt some tough lessons of drilling, map reading & shooting in the said camp.

TRAINING COURSE FOR ASSISTANT LEADER TRAINERS BY THE BHARAT SCOUTS & GUIDES.
102nd Assistant Leader Trainers Course of the Bharat Scouts and Guides was conducted from Dec.06 to 12 ,2025 at the State Training Centre, Chamtapathar, Sonapur, Assam . A total of 35 participants participated in the said training programme. Mr. Dipankar Mazumdar, our Scout Master successfully completed and cleared the course. He is now the only one recognized National Trainer from Chirang District.
IOCL SCIENCE QUIZ 3:0
Mst. Abhuday Sharma (IX) & Mst.Abhiraj Singh(IX) Chauhan participated in the IOCL Quiz 3:0 on Dec.18,2025 at Pragjyoti ITA Centre for Performing Arts.
SPECTRUM OF HERITAGE- THE DANCE OF UNITY
In the Winter Solstice 4:00 held at Bongaigaon on Dec.24,2025, a troupe of dancers from our school presented Spectrum of Heritage, a combo of folk dances of various parts of India. The performance was anchored by our students, Miss. Hrishita Hiya Sarma (XII) and Miss Himadri Nandini Kashyap(VIII). The performance was well acclaimed by all.

INMOTC(Indian National Mathematics Olympiad Training Camp) - 2026
INMOTC- 2026 was held at SMIT and was conducted by Mathematics Department SMIT , NBBGC Tadong and Sikkim Mathematical Society, funded by HBCSE. The said camp was held from 2nd to 6th Jan. 2026 . Mr. Pulin Ch. Medhi was among the resource persons for the camp. He trained the students for the forthcoming. INMO 2026 . Approximately 55 students took part in this residential camp.
